When Can You Fly?

Passengers should be fit enough to climb in & out of the basket unaided and be able to stand for about an hour.  The booking procedure is very simple and operates in the following manner:

1.  The passengers will need to contact the office to arrange a date and time for the flight, as soon as possible in the flying season.

2.  Passengers booking on morning flights should telephone the evening before the day of their flight anytime after 21.00hrs to confirm the weather conditions and to find out whether or not the flight is called on.

3.  Passengers booked on the evening flights should telephone in the morning on the day of their flight anytime after 11.30hrs to confirm the weather conditions and to find out whether or not the flight is called on.

4.  The person calling will be informed whether the flight is on or off.  If the flight is called on, details will then be given of the time and place to meet, and any other necessary information.

If the flight is called off the passenger will need to ring one of the office numbers and book an alternative date free of charge.  Vouchers last for a year, but may be extended at our discretion.  For example, if you have tried quite a few times, and have been unlucky each one, then it probably wouldn't be a problem.

When you arrive we will introduce you to your pilot and your adventure will begin!  You will receive a briefing from your pilot and an introduction to the ballooning system and then the balloon will be inflated.  The flight normally lasts for about an hour, then you will land and by met by your ground crew who will pack the balloon away, then transport us all back to the meeting point to toast the flight.  Here you will be presented with your first flight certificate signed by your pilot, and a complimentary glass of champagne.  

Balloon flight vouchers are available for any occasion or simply just for a memorable experience.  However, if you would like to purchase a voucher as a gift for someone, then 'Boxed Balloons' are available.  These are helium balloons encased in a small box pre-wrapped for your convenience.  They are £12-50 extra per item, and can be hand delivered free of charge to anywhere within a 10 mile radius of Great Missenden.  These can be complimented with company sweatshirts at an extra cost.
